Dirty Shirley Overdrive Demo Video by Shawn Tubbs

Description
The Dirty Shirley Overdrive packs the same intuitive control set as the amplifier, allowing you to dial in your perfect shade of rock in no time. It doesn't matter if you want a high-output cleaner tone for pushing your amp hard, or a thick gritty drive that will sit well in any classic to modern rock band—a sweep of the gain control gets you there. If you ever want reign in the low end for a punchier feel, simply flip the side-mounted Tight switch and away you go. If you want to experience the amp’s accolade-garnering tone in the convenience of a pedal, put the Dirty Shirley Overdrive on your board today.
British Rock at its Best
Though the Dirty Shirley overdrive can scream with an unabashedly rock 'n' roll voice, you'll be surprised at how truly versatile it is. To get more out of the amp you already have, roll the pedal's gain knob back, crank the volume and get a killer dirty boost. And of course, roll up the gain and witness how well the pedal responds to every touch and manipulation of your guitar's controls.
Ready for Your Rig
The Dirty Shirley Overdrive pedal delivers tube like tone in a small pedal format which can be used either into a clean amp or to boost an already over-driven amp. If your amp, or other overdrive gets a bit loose in the low end, throw ON the Dirty Shirley's Tight switch to bring back the percussive attack you crave.

Plugged this into a Marshall DSL 40C (speaker replaced with Celestion heritage greenback) into the cleanest channel and was blown away with its classic rock Marshall-esque goodness. It has more of the sound I am looking for than the amps distortion. I am running this at a bedroom volume with only a Boss DD3 in effects loop. This pedal has the nicest character of any distortion/overdrive pedal I heard. Comparing to EVH overdrive, RAH, Tube Screamer, Wampler Pinnacle, EHX Big M and Boss pedals that I own. The Dirty Shirley pedal is a keeper. I don't usually write reviews but this pedal deserves one. If you want the heavier sound, I'd check out the BE-OD.

After searching high and low for a Marshall'esque dirt box to go in front of my Mesa Rectoverb, I found this beautiful box of filth. I was looking for something to not only give me a different sound from the Mesa, but it had to be responsive and amp-like. I checked out offerings from JHS, EVH, MXR, Wampler, earthquaker devices, Full-tone etc. I thought I was going to dig the higher gain Friedman BE-OD, but THIS was exactly what I was looking for! Versatile gain that can handle anything from blues to metal. Amplike breakup, or THICC mid-forward grunt. That mid control is all additive, BTW! Handles AC/DC to corrosion of conformity with ease. This is the first "Marshall-in-a-box" that passes the Pepsi challenge for me.

Makes a Fender DRRI sound (and feel!) Like a 50 watt Marshall JMP! Great value for what it does. If you need/want quality Marshall tone but don't have $3500 lying around grab one of these!!

Wow... that's all I can mentally retrieve from my mind in describing this pedal. Sounds like the real deal boutique amp for a FRACTION of the price. I'd recommend plugging in to your amp of choice before purchasing. But playing a modded Fender HRD, this thing sounds as sweet as its predecessor. I'd buy this thing again and again. Great for all genres, but break out some BB and you'll well up at the sounds that come from this beauty. Buy it now, thank me later. -JB
