Furman M-8X2 Power Conditioner

Description
The Furman M-8x2 power conditioner protects your electronic equipment by combining high voltage varistor (MOV) surge and transient suppressors. The fast-acting suppression circuit quickly responds and clamps transient voltages to safe levels. An RFI/EMI interference filter works to prevent and suppress noise from fluorescent lights, certain dimmers, radio transmitters, and similar sources of electronic pollution from contaminating the AC line and from there, leaking into sensitive audio, video, or computer circuits. The Furman M-8x2 power conditioner is NRTL/TUV listed.

amazing quality affordable price
I purchased this unit in January of 2010 to protect my gk fusion 550 bass head. I immediately heard the difference the moment connected my jazz bass into my rig. The old saying is "bought lesson, best taught lesson". I gig all around town, in New Orleans and the Metro area. I lost an Ampeg S V T 3pro to a power surge playing in one of the city's 5 star hotels. The power surge possibly originated from the elevators in the Hotel. If you don't want to learn my lesson. I urge you to buy this unit.

Unit does what it's supposed to do.
Bought this to power up a couple of things in my rack. Works as advertised. Only complaint is that they should have had a couple of the outlets mounted horizontally for larger plugs. I had to mount a power strip in my rack as well to power my wireless and tuner which have larger plugs.

This is the second one I own. Not because the the first one failed but because my power needs have grown. This power condition works great and is built to last at a reasonable price.

Unit does quite down electrical hum noise but does not block out radio interference cross talk in you're system. Which is the 2nd reason I wanted a furman power conditioner.

Don't rely on these power strips from your local store. Your equipment cost way too much money. Furman has been a staple in the music industry for decades. Go ahead and invest in your equipment. Get you a Furman.

I already have this M8X2 power conditioner and I love it, two of them actually and they are perfect for my needs. but I just discovered that one of them somehow are missing 3 screws out of the faceplate. How can I get these screws? I'm sure they are probably metric or something odd!
If you have one of the screws in hand, you could bring it by a local store to see if they have any, but most stores won't have this kind of part available. I would recommend reaching out to Furman directly and see if they can send you some.submitted5 years ago
