Furman

collapse expand iconDescription

The Furman PL-Plus C Power Conditioner delivers superior power conditioning and extreme voltage protection for your audio equipment. Featuring Furman's exclusive Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) technology and Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), the PL-Plus C provides comprehensive protection against power spikes and surges. The PL-Plus C's rugged, rack-mountable chassis houses nine rear-panel outlets—including two isolated outlet banks to reduce interference—as well as one front-panel outlet, for a total output of 15 amps.

Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus Defends Against Surges

Furman's SMP+ circuitry incorporates multiple stages of surge suppression to handle even the most extreme power fluctuations, protecting connected equipment without compromising performance. The PL-Plus C's SMP+ circuit reacts in less than a nanosecond to clamp surges at 188 VAC, absorbing up to 6,500 amps of surge current. This extreme voltage shutdown capability powers down the unit and all connected gear in the event of hazardous over or under-voltage conditions, preventing damage.

Linear Filtering Technology Delivers Clean Power

Furman's LiFT filters noise and interference from the AC power line, isolating your audio components from EMI and RFI pollution that can compromise sound quality. The PL-Plus C's linear filtering, with zero leakage to ground, delivers a clean sine wave and maintains the integrity of the audio signal for optimal performance from your gear.

Convenient, Versatile Design

Occupying a single rack space, the PL-Plus C features a rugged, all-steel chassis with convenient front-panel controls and monitoring. Its built-in, retractable LED rack lights provide illumination for rear connections, with an on/off/dimmer control, while the front-mounted outlet offers easy access. The PL-Plus C's rear-panel voltmeter displays incoming voltage to instantly check power quality. A heavy-duty, 10-foot power cable and 15-amp circuit breaker are also included.

Comprehensive Protection and Power for Your Rig

For premium power conditioning and surge protection for your guitar amps, PA systems, recording equipment and more, the Furman PL-Plus C Power Conditioner is an ideal solution. With SMP+, LiFT, and versatile, performance-ready design, the PL-Plus C delivers clean, consistent power and defends your gear against damage from spikes and surges.

Went on a forum bender for 4 days until I finally decided on this power conditioner. It's almost 50/50 on the interwebs on whether power conditioners are necessary. Bottom Line, this series of conditioner protects better and longer lasting than any normal surge protector. If you are putting a rack together anyway, you might as well protect the gear from the electric that goes into it. This will do the trick without severely breaking the bank. Highly Recommended.

this is great power conditioner. before i had this, i used to get power spikes when i played and it scared me, and some gigs i played, particularly the house, didnt have a great power supply, so the voltage was slightly high, and i would get static noise.no that i have this, all the noise is gone, i no longer can hear power spikes, and i no longer have to worry about my gear being damaged. for a week i had one of my amps at a practice space without the furman, and when i got it home, a surge built up in the transformer sent it into repais. coincidence? i think not. buy it
