I've been using these dreams since I was a teenager. That's over 15 years. I've tried many types of strings and these ones give me that eccentric ukulele sound that I enjoy hearing in classic recordings.

I put these strings on my Mitchell MU40 ukulele and I thought they sounded a lot less 'plasticky' than the strings that came on it. These strings have a nice ring to them and I like the way they look on the ukulele, too, being black. Seem a little easier to fret, too.

i didn't like the strings or the sound they produced in my Hawaii Kai HS5 soprano ukulele. My opinion is that it made it sound as if it was a kids toy, one of the junkers you buy in a convenience store on vacation. I replaced the strings with Aquila nylagut and, while it didn't make the instrument sound like a million bucks, it certainly improved the sound greatly.

I purchase an Ibanez UKC-10 concert ukulele for G.C.;and to my surprise it can equipped with GHS Hawaiian Ukulele Black Nylon Strings.......I purchased additional strings(Martin M-600),just in case; But,I have plesantly pleased with these strings; They or very responsive and provide a warm tone indicative of the traditional Hawaiian sound....I would highly recommend the next time your changing your Uke strings, give these a try!
