I have been using GHS white Bronze strings since 1978. Over the years I have of course tried others that were supposed to be "the best". That was a waste of money because I always took the others off and went back to my trusty GHS white bronze. Why waste your money, start with the best, stay witht the best.

Since I don't record music on my acoustic very often, except for the occasional acoustic cover, these strings were a bust for me. I have been searching around for a couple years now on a set of strings I can slap on my acoustic and be fully satisfied with. When my friend turned me on about these strings, I figured for $7 I could roll the dice. The sound is sub par and your guitar will most likely need retuning after a few hours of playing. I decided to plug in to an average quality amp the other day and was pleased with the sound that these strings produce through speakers. Good strings for wired recording, but you can find better at around the same price if you are simply looking for a good unplugged sound.

I remember the first time I tryed these strings was when they were on my friend's alvarex acoustic guitar. The strings had an acoustic feel, but was so light and easy, I was in love with them. I now use them on my acoustic and they are great, they last so long and have a great sound. Also, and excellent choice for begginers.
