G&L

collapse expand iconDescription

The G&L Tribute L-2000 bass guitar honors the original design, first launched in 1980. Never before had such a wide range of tones come from a single bass, and throughout its evolution the iconic L-2000 has continued to win the hearts of bassists of every style and musical taste. The foundation of the L-2000 is a pair of G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers backed by the flexible Tri-Tone control system, providing plenty of versatility no matter what kind of bass line you’re laying down. The Tri-Tone system features a trio of mini toggles for pickup selection, series/parallel signal routing and active/passive operation, as well as a trio of knobs for volume, treble and bass. With all that under the hood, the L-2000 has the chops to fit in any situation, from classic R&B to power-packed rock to poppin’ funk. Plus, the L-2000 features an innovative Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock bridge to transfer string energy right into the body for an incredibly resonant response. The Tribute Series L-2000 bass delivers revolutionary bass tone at a price attainable for every working musician.

I bought this as new as they were on back order. However in a couple of days I was this one. On inspection I could tell it wasnt new.....scratches....etc. and I got it 2 weeks before the NEW ones to arrive. They did however charge me the 'new' price. I took it to the local GC store. The mgr. there was very professional and was sorry this happened and offered to take it back or work out another way to make me a satisfied customer. He gave me a brand new hard case to sweeten the deal. Things are ok now.
