The Dunlop Groovetech Guitar/Bass Multi-Tool - Second Generation is the only multi-tool built specifically for guitar and bass setups, adjustments and maintenance. Whether you play an American-made or imported guitar, the Groovetech has the necessary components for truss rod adjustments, bridge setups and other common tasks. The Groovetech includes inch and metric hex keys, Phillips and slotted screwdrivers and an accurate ruler, all constructed from hardened S2 material with a chrome finish.

Complete Set of Pro-Quality Hex Keys

The Groovetech includes 4mm, 5mm and 1/16" hex keys for truss rod adjustments, 5/16" socket for Gibson-style truss rods and other common metric and fractional sizes. All keys feature ball-ends for hard-to-reach adjustments and are constructed from hardened S2 material for durability and precision.

Essential Screwdrivers and Ruler

In addition to the hex key set, the Groovetech includes #1 & #2 Phillips screwdrivers, a 2.5mm slotted screwdriver and an accurate ruler with inch and metric measurements. The screwdrivers are ideal for pickup, control plate and other electronic adjustments, while the ruler is useful for measuring neck relief, action and other critical measurements.

Redesigned and Improved

While building upon the success of the original Groovetech, Dunlop designers made significant improvements in the second-generation model. Additions include the 5/16" socket, 5mm hex key and 1/16" hex key, as well as a one-piece body for smooth rotation of all components. The end result is a more comprehensive and ergonomic multi-tool for today's guitar and bass player.

A Must-Have for Every Guitarist and Bassist

Whether you're a touring musician, recording artist, hobbyist or new player, the Groovetech Guitar/Bass Multi-Tool belongs in your gear bag. For quick truss rod adjustments before a gig or a complete guitar setup in your home workshop, the Groovetech has the tools you need to keep your axes in top playing condition. perfect tool for guitar maintenance

This is the perfect tool for the person who likes to maintain there own guitars. With this tool I could set the action with the string gauge, take off covers, pickguards, adjust pickup height, adjust bridge height and intonation. The only tool it doesn't have is the nut driver needed to adjust the truss rod on gibson guitars, but gibson normally supplies this tool inside the case or gig bag of each guitar it sells.

Don't Buy If You Want To Adjust Your Strat Truss Rod

Never buy this if you want to adjust your truss rods. Look at it. You can NOT get the wrench in the hole without scraping up your strings. So, I disassembled the device and took out the proper size and stuck it in. No leverage. I guess I could get a thin pair of pliers and grab it, but again, your going to scrape up the strings. But if you were to use it as is, you can't even get the whole key in as your strings are in the way. Just buy an assorted set that isn't all screwed in this mechanism. This thing is totally useless to me. I guess I can use the screwdriver. Go buy a kit with all the allen wrenches separated, and that are bent like they should. I wouldn't have wasted my money on this if it weren't for Guitar Center throwing away all their hex keys when they take the guitar out of the box.

I purchased this to work on an Epiphone and Telecaster. You cannot adjust the truss rod because the wrenches are too short and the rest of the product keeps hitting the strings. I tried adjusting the saddle on different instruments and the same thing happens. The product looks like it should work but it does not.

  • Good tool selection + quality but poorly thought out design

This product is well built and has every tool you'd need for a setup but it has one fatal flaw that prevents me from recommending it. The truss rod wrenches won't actually fit into the headstock of fender style guitars because they run into the strings. It does however work for my epiphone SG. It's also missing the correct size allen wrench to adjust the action on my Sterling Ray4 HH.

  • Ok, but frustrating to get some of the tools open

For what it costs, it's fine but I had a terrible time getting a few of the larger tools to open up. They were caught on the opposite side hinges.

  • Quality tool.
