I use this case to protect and transport 6 Carvin DCML series amps, and it's awesome. It's not too heavy, the brake works great, and the red accents really help when putting amp racks away after an event. I also use a 10U slant mount mixer that I place ontop of this case. I love it.

I bought this rack to hold the amps for our mains (3 power amps, crossover and power conditioner). I was looking for a beefy case. While this comes close, the build quality is poor and the design is so-so. I knew I was off to a bad start when I could hear the hardware rattling around inside when I picked up the package. The parts bags and desicant packages ("Do not Eat") had brocken open and parts and silica were all over inside the case. Several of the extruded channels on the openings needed to be de-burred and the these are only rivetted at the ends. Many of the rivets are longer than they needed to be and stick into the case. None pose a big problem, it's just annoying that it's too much trouble to get some little things right. I can pull out a drill and a riveter, but this is a lot of money for half-baked contruction. The ball corners look nice, but they're chrome plated. Once they're scuffed, they're going to rust. The casters do not mount directly to the case. THey bolt to a sheet of plywood, which bolts to mollies in the floor of the case. It would have been nice if the bottome of the floor of the case was reinforced and the casters attached directly (mayber were even removeable?). By the way, the mollies are used in the model without the casters to hold the feet on, so if you're handy, you can buy that model and bolt your own dolly or casters to those. My experience with Gator products has been that you'll need t be handy, because they frequently need fixing or modification before you can use them. On the plus side, the casters are nice. Heavy duty, soft rubber on the tires and good brakes. Oh. and the latches are a pretty color red!

You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design of this case. It has heavy duty casters, racks, locks and handles, however, the craftsmanship is poor. A few of the welded on nuts were not threaded and some of the rivets were not set correctly in the handles. So great idea, bad follow through. It may not sound like much but with 300lbs of power amps in one of these things every rivet counts just like every dollar. I corrected the problems myself in the garage as the components themselves were of durable construction. Hope this helps.

If you are a professional musician this here is a must have and with a deal like this these cases are pretty much like tanks for your gear I cant thing of anything safer to put your gear in as a professional touring musician I wouldnۡt dream of using anything else
