I use the case for both my main case and for travel, case is nice and sturdy and protects my basses well, I liked my Gator case so much, I ordered a second one.

Overall a good case for the price. Considering other TSA ATA cases from competitors are twice as expensive. It does have some cons though. It's heavy and big. This could be both good and bad. Case just barely fits in a Lexus RX300 trunk. Considering it's an SUV I imagine small cars won't be able fit this beast. The next con is regarding the liner inside the case comes loose. Generally it stays in it's position it's not like it completely comes off or anything, but if you press in the edges the liner pushes down a bit along with the sound of the glue stocking and lifting off. I tried multiple of these cases in store to check and all had the same issue. I don't think it compromises safety of the instrument, it just makes it feel cheap is all. Some people complained about the smell, I honestly have no issue. It does have a synthetic smell to it like silicone oil or something, but it's not that strong and doesn't bother me. Construction is hard plastic but it will flex if you push hard. Latches are super easy to open and close, you can open and close them with your feet if you wanted to. The lock and latches look good and the red handle really compliments the black case. One last thing is storage space. Not a ton to store accessories, but considering it's a hard case I suppose it's not too bad. If you're just gonna carry small items like a clip on tuner, straps, and such plenty of room for that. However extra strings don't really have a space to fit here. Overall though, good rugged case.
good solid case

excellent case it is heavy duty holds my jazz elite bass perfectly latches are tight I like everything about the other than the price but you get what you pay for and I feel the case is the best option for me and I trust it I wouldn't throw it down the road or something but within reason I feel my bass is protected better than it has ever been .YOU WOULD HAVE TO BUY A ANVIL ROAD CASE TO GET A BETTER CASE AND THEy are $300

cannot handle a regular days sunlight for 15 minutes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cannot handle a regular days sunlight. Avoid heat. By sean on May 16, 2016 Only 15 minute drive. Not very hot only around 85 - 90 degrees. I put it in the back of my truck I don't have a shell so it was in direct sunlight but consider the moments where wind should cool it down. Warped really bad on the outside panel. Inside temp was normal but outside was too hot to touch. I wouldn't say it was extreme temp and the other guitar hard cases were just fine. Permanent damage wondering if I can return. Any advice? For the price buy a different case. I just reviewed the weather it was 88 degrees 13% humid. sat 5/14/16 slc utah.
