Will this 12.7 L-Rod and ball work on a Tama Road Pro Tom and Cymbal stand? My stand has the 10.5mm Rod and ball, but DW Tom mounts need the 12.7mm. are the balls the same size? previous question was on the wrong product.
Yes they should work.submitted4 years ago

I have a Tama double tom stand but want to mount new DW toms on it. I'd like to switch out the existing Tama L-rod ball tom mounts for Gibraltar ones, as the rods are different sizes: Tama uses 10.5 mm while DW required 12.7, like Gibraltar. So my question is this: are the balls the same dimensions that I could swap out the Tama for the Gibraltar L-rod ball mounts? Thanks for your reply.
The balls are not the same size, so it wouldn't work straight across.
