    I replaced the hoops on my snare only. The ones on the kit had 1.7 hoops, so I ordered these (2.3) from MF. I do a lot of cross sticking, and the heavier hoops sound way better than the original ones. Gibraltar makes good stuff... whatever it is: cymbal stands or anything else.
