Eliminate a mic stand from your setup with the Bass Drum Hoop Mic Mount. This mount allows you to secure your bass drum mic to the front hoop of your bass drum. The Gibraltar Deluxe Hoop Clamp is lined with a rubber guard to prevent any marring of the hoop when attaching. Easily position the mic with the 8" gooseneck that threads on to the post of the hoop clamp. This accessory is great for players who want to remove the mic stand from the front of their bass drum.

  • Finally! A Decent Mic Mount for Kick Drums.

This kick drum mic from Gibraltar is exactly what I've been looking for. I use an Audix D6 and I recently tried their hoop clip and it was horrible. The Audix goose neck was extremely weak and buckled under the mic's weight. This Gibraltar version has a super strong goose neck, designed for the weight of typical bass drum mics. The clamp also has a padding so your hoop won't get damaged. As others have said, be careful not to over-tighten.

Just what I needed, it reduced my footprint and worked well with my Beta 52 bass drum mic!

I do like gadgets especially if they make life a little easier. Thus one is cool but it doesn't really help all that much. I use a Beta 52 mic and it's heavy so it won't stay centered on the port It's not a big deal so far but I've only used it on one gig. It's no easier to set up than my small profile stand so I'll keep using it unless it gives me a good reason not to.

  • I would buy it again....
