Problematic without memory lock

This is a nice looking arm and the idea is great, but it really needs a memory lock that slots firmly into position to hold it, otherwise it is in danger of falling over once the vibrations from playing gradually loosen the screw where the rod slots into the mount. This arm was included on a bass drum on a custom set I bought and this has been an ongoing issue. I finally got a memory lock that fits that rod, but the bracket is not built in such a way that it fits together tightly, so my cymbal will still tilt over to one side or the other if this loosens up (tho it won't fall on the floor anymore). DW and perhaps Pearl do a much better job on this and Gibraltar needs to update the design imho.
Why did I wait so long?

Great product. I saw it installed from a friend of mine, bought it, and I am glad I did. Great addition to my set, saves me from bringing another stand.

I am rebuilding a 1966 Stewart drum kit, the arm was missing but the mount was in good condition. I bought this and used the arm, perfect fit, it is tight and holds position. worked perfectly.
