Gibraltar L-Rod Chrome Tom Mount with Memory Lock

very nice tom mount, like the style goes well with my drum lugs on my kit....

It works... Nice little mount bracket! I gave it four stars only because I wish the lock fit into the bracket a little snugger.

The tom mounts were applied to the tom mounting system from the same brand name. Everything connected fine but utilizing the memory locks is not even possible. But not only was I able to apply hardware to a pre-owned set that didn't even have hardware to begin with, I got hardware that has served me well in the past. Now to brag about the tom arm that I got for the set...

First off,the screws that mount this L-rod bracket bottom out and I had to add washers to tighten it up,but the screws keep loseining up by themselves.The memory locks are absolutley usless with my 12mm L-rods.They are to small and will not open up bigger! Memory locks should fit up to 12.7mm L-rods like it says for the bracket. I would not recommend these to anyone else.

Works fine. But the screws on the back were designed for the thickness of a typical drum shell, whereas I was mounting it to a suspension ring, whose metal is only about 3/16" thick...so the screws were too long. I had to use washers to take up the slack. They're hidden, so it's no big deal, but I think Gibraltar could have included screws of both lengths - particularly since both products are from the same company. Other than that, these mounts hold tight, and the memory lock really helps during setup on gigs. I'm somewhat disappointed with the cost of this mount, plus the suspension ring, plus the cymbal stand clamp. They ought to sell a package deal for less. Either way, the transaction with Guitar Center went smoothly - I was notified of the tracking number - and it arrived promptly.
