Great Throne Seat replacement !

I bought the Gibraltar throne top ( S9608R model) to replace the thinner throne top that came with the Gibraltar 5608 drum throne that I use on gigs. The 5608 tripod base is very light at 7 lbs, and stable enough for my 5 foot 10 inch, 165 lb body, but the seat gets slightly uncomfortable after a few hours of playing on a gig. The new throne top is the same diameter but is a an inch or so thicker padding. The seat has a softer more comfortable surface to sit on. The seat mount is very secure and does not come off easily like the original seat. Its a great upgrade to any throne that has 7/8" post.
I would if I needed another drum throne

I bought a great used kit but the throne top was missing. I purchased this top and it's a perfect match for the base. This top is very comfortable, even playing long gigs. I weight about 240lb and this seat holds up very well.
Great all around seat

I bought this seat when I got back into drumming and found that the seat on my sound percussion throne had been thrown out. I have had no issues with this seat. It is extremely sturdy and never wobbles. Loosening and tightening the seat is very easy. The material is strong and after two years of use has never teared. It is great if you want a lightweight throne for gigs and auditions. It is also a lot cheaper thatn the top of the line seats offerd by Pork Pie and Rock N Sock. My only issue is that I tend to prefer motorcycle style seats.
