Gibraltar

collapse expand iconDescription

Gibraltar's third generation Cajon pedal transforms your pedal into an acoustic bass drum which is great for lower volume playing situations where a standard bass drum is too loud. This pedal is perfect for drum set players; it allows you to play traditionally like a drum set but at a much lower volume.

Design features include a fixed position cable housings that keep the cable in line and fixed adjust cam drives. No adjustments needed.

I used this for two practices. I wasn't playing it hard or over the top at all. During the second practice the cable came loose from the pedal and was broken. It looks like the mechanism they used to secure the cable is faulty. I'll buy a different one and likely not ever trust Gibraltar for anything like this. It's too bad since some of their other products are fine and well priced.

  • Doesn't hit bass area on Cajon and other issues.

Pedal beater hits cajon in snare area even when beater is at lowest level Pedal beater is too far from cajon head. You have to hit pedal all the way down to hit the cajon at all and even then it's a weak hit. Strap is not adjustable. Cable is way too short if you use a cajon stand. Only way I can use it is to turn snares off or make my own mods to the pedal
