Gold Tone AC-1 Banjo Package Black

Description
Gold Tone's AC-1 5-string Openback banjo package is the ideal choice for beginners and professionals alike seeking an affordable, high-quality banjo. Featuring Gold Tone's innovative Zero Glide nut system for superior tuning stability, a durable 11" composite rim and a slim, comfortable nato neck, the AC-1 banjo produces a warm, full tone suited for clawhammer and old-time styles.
Revolutionary Zero Glide Nut Provides Unparalleled Playability
Gold Tone's patented Zero Glide nut system combines the benefits of a traditional nut and zero fret in one cutting-edge design. Requiring far less setup work than a standard nut, the Zero Glide system reduces string contact by over 90% to minimize binding and keep the AC-1 in tune. Its zero fret is embedded directly into the nut so no modifications are needed to switch between the two.
Composite Rim Delivers a Rich, Resonant Tone
At the heart of the AC-1's full, woody tone is its 11" composite rim, which is highly resistant to changes in temperature and humidity. Paired with a Remo head and adjustable coordinator rod, the composite rim produces a tone equally suited for mellow clawhammer rhythms and crisp old-time rolls. Weighing under four pounds, the AC-1's lightweight, durable construction also makes it an ideal travel banjo.
Slim, Fast-Playing Neck Accommodates All Skill Levels
Whether you prefer a slim profile for small hands or fast playing, the AC-1's nato neck is designed for comfort. Topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the neck allows beginners and pros alike to play with ease. Geared tuners provide smooth, accurate tuning for the perfect setup right out of the included gig bag.
A Complete Package for Playing Right Away
The AC-1 5-string Openback banjo package includes everything needed to start playing immediately. A padded gig bag, strap, finger and thumb picks, wrenches, an intonation ruler and instructional QR codes allow you to unpack and play your new banjo without delay.

Got a great deal on banjo package at Guitar Center. Being my first banjo I did a lot of research. I was told cheap banjos are hard to play so you need to spend $500+ to get something decent. However I read reviews on AC-1 went ahead and purchased. Glad I did. It plays & sounds great!

What size do you buy a 6 ft man who is a beginner?
You should be alright with a standard length. I'm 6' 3" and dabble with a banjo similar to this without any problems.
