I have many banjos and guitars which I either build or repair. This is one of the nicest and fun to play. If you already play with a wood neck and closed back or a professional banjo with a solid heavy tone ring, this will appear to be a toy until you get use to its lightweight and composite material. Great for the beginner or seasoned player. Sounds great and can hold its own next to many much more expensive instruments!

The description says the banjo is an Openback 5-String banjo, but when you zoom in on the product picture it clearly shows that the banjo is a closedback. Wondering if the banjo is openback or closed?
