Cripple Creek Resonator Banjo with Wide Fingerboard-Gloss Natural-No Style

Gold Tone

collapse expand iconDescription

This variant of the CC-100R features a nut width of 1 and 5/16" (1/8" wider than that of standard Cripple Creek models). The rolled brass tone ring and the tension hoop are thicker than those previously used, increasing the mass of the pot assembly. This results in a more powerful sound.

The CC-100RW Cripple Creek Resonator Banjo with wide fingerboard also features the Gold Tone Terminator tailpiece, the advanced tailpiece that provides parallel string alignment to the bridge, quick-change stringing, and heavyweight construction that won't bend over time. This is the same tailpiece found on our best banjos. The fifth-string nut is located in line with the fifth fret for accurate fifth-string intonation, so important for today's modern playing styles. The wide neck and fingerboard make is perfect for those with bigger hands. Also available as a left-handed model.

Does this have the closed guitar style tuners that are pictured? I read that Goldtone was possibly going to change the tuners on this model to friction tuners and I do NOT want friction tuners. I want the closed guitar style tuners (as pictured.)
