The gauge may well be suited for Chicago Tuning

I couldn't find a way to reply in the Q&A section, where the answer to a question about whether these strings are suitable for Chicago Tuning incorrectly stated that Chicago Tuning is just for Banjo, but this is not true, especially as Tenor Guitar was invented to help Banjo players transition to Guitar. See tenor-guitar-tunings at instrumentio (we're not allowed to include links). I am contemplating these new strings, for Chicago Tuning of my Ibanez Tenor Guitar, currently strung with John Pearse strings (.010, .014, .022w, .032w) in standard tuning (CGDA). As Chicago tuning is DGBE, the gauge of this set (.009, .014, .025w, .035w) differs by the exact amount that I would expect is needed for compensating for this popular Tenor Guitar tuning. I use the same formulation Gold Tone strings on their Mandocello and find them of very high quality, so it only seems fair to give five stars here, but the whole point of this review is to compensate for the incorrect information in the Q&A section, to which I cannot find a way to respond.

Would this be a good set of strings to use for Chicago Tuning?
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. Chicago tuning is used for a banjo.
