    I took advantage of a holiday special on these bongos and got them for less than $60. I physically looked at other models from lp and meinl and couldn't see where they were worth 2to 3 times the price. Especially if you are going to mount them on a stand. Once the bongo gets to a certain weight ,no matter what stand you get they get a little precarious in movement. This model is working out great for me.

    For the price, these bongos are pretty nice. They have a great pitch and tone to them, while still being affordable at a decent price. Sometimes they get out of tune, based on the temperature, but that's my fault i guess. Still a really nice set for 70 dollars, i recommend them for beginner players. Have fun!
