Graph Tech

collapse expand iconDescription

If you have a high quality acoustic or vintage guitar, you owe it to yourself to hear the difference a TUSQ saddle will make. Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows, and a noticeable increase in overall sustain.

TUSQ saddles are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body, and have been proven to increase a guitar's harmonic sustain. Acoustic guitars come alive with delicate highs and big open lows!

TUSQ is far superior in sound and appearance to synthetics such as Micarta and Corian. The high levels of heat and pressure used in making TUSQ results in its exotic ivory-like appearance.

Join those who know great guitar tone! TUSQ is used by: Martin, Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more.

TUSQ has quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world.

Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.

TUSQ saddles have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials.

At First, I was a little staggered that my bridge measures 1/8 inch and so does this saddle, it didn't fit. I kinda wanted to leave a nasty comment about this Saddle. After dealing with my frustration from sanding it, which didn't work... I had to take it into my shop again and grind it down. Its okay enough to toy with, and I don't feel my money was completely wasted, but I wish it were a little cheaper especially since I had to sand/grind it down to fit the bridge. I'm sure It'll fit better in other newer guitars, but mine is a vintage guitar from either 60s or 80s. Its called a Seville S-140, look it up..you'll find almost nothing on that guitar, because that company doesn't exist anymore. I'm telling anyone who reads this of what guitar I have so if you have a vintage guitar similar or exactly mine hopefully you can expect some disappointment. If you attempt to sand or grind it and it don't work, I suggest taking your guitar to a guitar luthier.

  • Would buy this again, if needed.

Replaced original bone nut and saddle on both of my acoustic guitars and they really sing now! won't use any other parts except Graph Tech - Gibson uses them also - so what's good for them is good for me!!

I have an Epiphone FT-345 that had a plastic saddle originally and it cracked. Will this saddle fit it and is it the proper size? How about the nut also. What would fit?

In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar. It will work but it's not a 'drop in' fit.

This TUSQ Acoustic guitar saddle would be compatible with the Mitchell D120 dreadnought acoustic. Any medium or heavy gauge acoustic guitar strings would work well.
