This Gretsch Silver Series walnut snare offers glossy woodgrain with a beautiful maple inlay. The 8-ply walnut shell produces a smooth, dark tone with a medium attack, while a 30-degree bearing edge ensures that "great Gretsch sound." Available in a 14x5" or 14x6-1/2", this snare is fitted with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops, a bolt-on Silver Series round badge and Remo USA Ambassador heads.

    This is a fantastic snare, the build quality and finish are beautiful! It passed my countertop test, taking the batter head off and checking the bearing edge with a flash light. The walnut does provide a full, warm tone and handles all tuning ranges easily. The stock Gretsch branded Remo head is good but did swap it out with a Remo vintage ambassador. It's really just gorgeous to look at, the wood grain on the walnut contrasts wonderfullly with the maple inlays. For anyone on the fence, treat yourself to this Great Gretsch snare!
