I play mostly ambient music. My favorite thing about this guitar is how it sounds. I can dial in a variety of tones from clear and open to dark and muddy. My two biggest gripes, and the reasons I'm only giving this 3 stars, are with the tuning machine knobs and the strap buttons. First, the tuning machine knobs are too small which makes it difficult to tune the larger gauge strings. Second, the strap buttons are inconvenient to use unless you keep a strap always on your guitar. Having to screw the "strap lock" on every time you want to use a strap is time consuming and annoying. As an added frustration, the screws, of the strap buttons, that go into the body of the guitar are reverse threaded. For those who don't know, reverse threading means that to remove the screw, it has to be turned clockwise instead of counter-clockwise. I found this out when I was trying to remove them. Thinking they would be threaded normally, I proceeded to turn them counter-clockwise causing them to go deeper into the guitar and cracking the finish around it. Some documentation could have prevented this but none was included.

Let me just start this off by saying this thing is a djent stick, I use it for down low drop tunings and its the best guitar you can possibly buy in this price range for that sort of thing. The pickups aren't the highest output in the world, but they still sound good especially with an overdrive in front of it. Currently its in drop G and the tuning stability is phenomenal, I think I've tuned it 3 times in the last month. Required barely any setup out of the box and the build quality is great, the big block inlays and bound neck make this thing look like it costs twice the price..... if you don't want to buy a7 or 8 string guitar for super drop tuned riffs, look no further.

Solid build for the price. I immediately put Slinky 2837 strings on it to turn it into a Bass VI and it's killer. Only had to make very minor adjustments to the neck and bridge to get the action I wanted. There is absolutely NO neck dive yet the instrument isn't very heavy.
