The G5476G-12 features a laminated maple body and trestle block bracing for focused tone with reduced feedback. Coupled with powerful Filter'Tron pickups, it explodes with rich, chimey 12-string sound. The comfortable C-shaped maple neck improves playability, while upgraded controls like master volume with treble bleed provide versatility. With premium appointments including bound f-holes, pearloid inlays and gold hardware, the G5476G-12 is a vintage-inspired 12-string that delivers iconic Gretsch hollowbody tone and playability.

Vintage-Inspired Hollowbody Design Resonates With 12-String Glory

The G5476G-12 revives the resonant 12-string tone and style of classic Gretsch hollowbody electrics. Its laminated maple body and maple trestle block bracing create a focused tone with reduced feedback so you can crank up the volume without sacrificing note clarity. The hollowbody construction produces airy, open sound with plenty of organic resonance. Combined with a slim, comfortable maple neck and 12-string headstock, the G5476G-12 nails the iconic Gretsch vibe. Its vintage-inspired design resonates with rich, jangly 12-string tone reminiscent of the 1960s rock-and-roll invasion.

Comfortable C-Shaped Neck Improves Playability

The G5476G-12 features an all-new C-shaped maple neck for superior comfort and playability compared to previous Electromatic 12-strings. Its slimmer profile and smooth finish feel great in your hands. The C-shaped contour strikes a perfect balance between vintage and modern, encouraging effortless fretting and chord changes. It also sports a 12" radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid neo-classic thumbnail inlays for smooth playability across the entire fingerboard. The comfortable neck lets you play with confidence and articulation. Improved ergonomics make this 12-string a joy to play.

Powerful Filter'Tron Pickups Deliver Legendary 12-String Jangle

Equipped with a pair of powerful Filter'Tron FT-5E humbucking pickups, the G5476G-12 pumps out the lush, chimey 12-string tone Gretsch guitars are known for. The Filter'Trons capture each note with clarity and presence, translating your playing into rich, dynamic sound. Compared to previous Filter'Tron designs, the FT-5Es have more output and punch—perfect for cutting through the mix with shimmering 12-string jangle. Their open, airy voicing pairs perfectly with the hollowbody design. Dial in bright, jangly rhythms or switch to the neck pickup for smoother lead tones. The Filter'Trons deliver legendary Gretsch 12-string tone.

Upgraded Controls Offer Versatile Tone Shaping

For versatile tone shaping, the G5476G-12 includes upgraded controls like master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual Filter'Tron volume controls and a 3-way pickup toggle switch. The master volume maintains clarity and articulation, even at lower levels. Individual pickup volumes let you blend in just the right amount of each pickup's character. The 3-way switch provides quick access to bridge, both pickups or neck-only tones. Vintage-style knobs give it classic Gretsch style. The versatile controls let you dial in everything from sparkling 12-string jangle to smooth, mellow tones.

The fella at Guitar Center hunted mine down at their store in Winter Park, Fl. (I live 200 miles away in Jacksonville) , It was a floor model and obviously had been pulled off the rack and played by those Saturday Afternoon types that infest all the stores. It played wonderfully right out of the box (and yes BOX...no case). I adjusted the bridge pieces to the best of my ability and used the guitar on gigs at once. After experiencing 3rd string intonation issues I took it in for a setup and have had no problems since . As for a case ..... I purchased a Gretch Electromatic Streamliner 6 string w Bigsby before I owned the 12 string and the seller at that time sold me an Epihone hardshell case for the 6 string. Thinking a 12 would need a larger case I slipped my new 12 into the 6 string case and it fit perfectly .... My advice would be to take your 12 string into any store and ask for any semi hollowbody cases ... It should be an easy find.

This was listed "Used, like new" product. Did not come with any paperwork or tools beside a receipt. Nice to see the protective plastic was still on the pups and truss rod cover. Small opening across where neck fits to body at back .I don't think it's an issue. Cosmetically that just doesn't look good. Otherwise, not a scratch on it. Frets sticking out passed fret board, Action was high. Nuts on tuning keys loose. Strap screw at neck very small and is reverse thread so when you tighten the gold cover nut the screw loosens on the body. Low quality nut, will replace. The neck pup was too low. If I had to pay someone to fix these things, I would return the instrument. Plugged it in to a SS amp with a 12inch speaker. Sound is excellent, lots of variation in controls. A little imbalance with a bit of neck dive if you let it go, but not bad. pretty light wight for a 12-string electric. Aside from the small issues, I still think it's a good value for what I paid. As always, Caveat Emptor! I think GC should pay a little more attention to quality control.

I’m sorry, I don’t know. It would need to be tested but it probably will. You may need to tweak the action a little bit.
