Gretsch Guitars Streamliner Limited-Edition Center Block Cat-Eye With V-Stoptail and Gold Hardware Electric Guitar Village Amber

Description
The Gretsch Streamliner Cat-Eye limited-edition center block double-cut electric guitar bursts into the modern era with exceptional performance, sound and style. Designed for guitarists seeking more than just the ordinary, the Streamliner delivers powerful tone and vintage appeal. With comfortable playability and versatile controls, it's the perfect guitar to inspire your creativity.
Resonant Maple Body With an Arched Top
The Streamliner has a 16" double-cutaway semi-hollow body made of maple, with a solid center block for reduced feedback at high volumes. The arched top adds vintage vibe while contributing to the guitar's singing sustain and organic resonance. It's comfortable for long practice sessions yet stable for rocking live shows.
Smooth Playability With a Laurel Fingerboard
The soft C-shaped nato neck joins the body at the 16th fret for easy upper fret access. It has a 12" radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, providing a feel familiar to steel-string players. The fingerboard's pearloid block inlays add an elegant visual flair. Overall it's a smooth, inviting playing experience.
Modern Sound With Powerful Broad'Tron Pickups
The Streamliner is equipped with a pair of Broad'Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups that produce a bold, articulate tone. The ceramic magnets and hot coil windings deliver strong output and tight lows, while the nickel-plated pole pieces contribute to rich harmonics and singing highs. Strum chords and you'll appreciate the dynamic response. Dig in for leads and the amp will sing.
Versatile Controls With Striking Style
The master volume and tone knobs, along with individual pickup volumes, equip you with tonal flexibility. The control knobs emulate a vintage radio design for retro-cool style. With its arched cat-eye F-holes, gold hardware and three-ply pickguard, the Streamliner turns heads. The anchored bridge and V-stop tailpiece keep it rock-solidly in tune.

Fit and finish is excellent! It's very comfortable to play and the pickups are sweet. They have a little different tone than I expected, but I like it! I think it's gorgeous and I'm very pleased with this purchase!

First, let me say that I'm mostly an acoustic guitarist, and hadn't had much experience with electrics. Recently, a fellow band member convinced me that I needed to try a hollow body, so I started looking into them and tried several before I came upon this beauty. While it's not "off the charts" beautiful, there's just something about how the gold hardware sets off its natural finish, giving it an elegant look. It's not the yellow look you see on the GC website, but more a bright natural finish. Enough with appearance, it's extremely easy to play and sounds great regardless of the amp I'm using. Also, it's very lightweight, which I'm very grateful Florence. So many of the electrics I've tried left me with that aching shoulder afterwards; not this guy. I could play this all day! Bottom line; sounds good, looks good plays good, all at a great price. I'm very happy with this purchase, and have to thank my friends at the Johnson City, New York GC, Daniel, Ben, Hoss and Jake for all their help in guiding me to the electric guitars that fit me and my needs. Great store and great staff!
Absolutely!

The first thing that caught my eye about this guitar was just the beauty of it. The natural color, cat eye sound holes, gold hardware, the binding and the small block inlays... such a classic look. I took it off the rack and found the fit, finish and set up were very well done. No sharp edges on the frets. The neck felt great to play (something that I'm very particular about). Then I plugged it into a Vox Ac10. Who ever had been using it last had the gain set to where it was just beginning to break up and the tone that it produced was amazing, clear with just a bit if grit. I was sold! The guitar happened to be on sale which was nice but I would have paid the full price, it was well worth it!
