This is a pretty good tambourine. It's a little louder than I'd prefer it to be, but I'm mostly using it for recording. It's a very "slushy" sound, almost sleigh bell sounding. I wouldn't consider it a "tight" sounding tambourine, but if you're looking for some shimmery pad-like layers for your productions, this will be a good thing to have around. This is the first silver tambourine I've owned and it's definitely different than the brass and bronze ones I have, but that's the point!
