The slide doesn't move smoothly, making it impossible to play music, and there's no way to disassemble to fix the problem. Don't buy this
Not the high pitch whistle I need.

I bought this instrument for our singing group to use in comedy songs such as "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight". It really gets the laughs and the sound reproduction is very clear. Like every whistle, the low notes are fuzzy. Fuzzy, of course, is a very scientific musical term with which we are all familiar.(As in too many 'fuzzy navels' and this thing sounds like Kenny G or something). This really isn't for young children since the metal mouth piece could hurt them. But, for kids like me over 65 it's a blast.(It would be fine for ages 8 to 108).
