Guild F-240E Jumbo

Description
The F-240E Westerly Collection jumbo acoustic-electric guitar provides guitarists with Guild's signature tone and balanced voicing. Guild's arched back design allows for enhanced volume and projection, long sustain and a lush, full sound.
Guild/Fishman Sonitone GT-1 Electronics Provide Pristine and Authentic Tone
The Guild/Fishman GT-1 pickup system naturally translates the acoustic tone of this instrument. The sound is dynamic onstage and pairs well with a microphone for recording. Volume and tone controls are mounted in the soundhole for easy access without detracting from the guitar's beauty.
F-Jumbo Body Delivers Lush, Full Sound With Incredible Projection
The F-240E's F-jumbo body provides a stunning blend of low end and midrange. The solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides deliver a tone that projects unplugged or amplified. Guitarists will appreciate the guitar's full, powerful voice.
Mahogany Neck and Pau Ferro Fingerboard Offer Outstanding Playability
The mahogany neck and pau ferro fingerboard provide an outstanding playing experience. The neck's profile and radius are comfortable for both flatpicking and fingerpicking styles. Musicians will find the neck a joy to play.
Additional Appointments Enhance the F-240E
The F-240E features Guild's scalloped X-bracing for better resonance and sustain. A bone nut and saddle along with a pau ferro bridge support the guitar's tone. The mother-of-pearl rosette and tortoiseshell pickguard provide vintage-inspired style. The satin polyurethane finish protects the instrument's all-solid wood construction.

Great Guitar For The $$$

Great sound from a manufacturer with a long-standing reputation of iconic acoustic guitars. I tried a few other guitars before making this purchase, but this one checked all the boxes. Their Motto is "Made to be Played" and they aren't kidding. It has a great sound overall.
Great sound, nice finish

I looked at a number of acoustics including the Epiphone Hummingbird, Taylor 110, Seagull S6, Yamaha FG series before I settled on the F-240E. I highly recommend sitting down and playing different guitars before purchasing. Sound, comfort, intonation, feel and other things can't be experienced unless you actually play the guitar. The F-240E has a big sound due to the ached back. The finish is great with a solid spruce top, mahogany sides, and mahogany back. It also is just a nice looking guitar. Once the strings were broken in it stays in tune fairly well. I have an amp but haven't plugged it in much because it sounds so good without it.

I have played several Dreadnoughts in the past from brands like Fender, Taylor, and Epiphone. This was my first experience with Guild and honestly, it is an experience that is fulfilling. The F-240 exceeds expectations when it comes to quality, tone, resonance, clarity of notes, ease of playing, and intonation. It keeps tune like a dream and the clarity of notes is what leaves me enthralled/
Nice guitar but tough for beginners?

Very tight tuning pegs, had high tension and made it scary to tune for a beginner like me. Haha. Very nice quality wood, but as a beginner it's kind of hard to play barre chords. Love the jumbo size though. And gorgeous guitar.
Worth the cash!
