Spruce and Mahogany for a Rich, Dynamic Sound
Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the OM-340 delivers a rich, balanced tone that is both bright and resonant. The solid spruce top provides crisp, articulate highs that complement the warmth of the mahogany, creating a full-bodied sound that works well across a variety of musical styles. The Sitka spruce bracing enhances the guitar's projection and sustain, ensuring that every note is clear and articulate, whether you're strumming chords or picking out melodies.

Comfortable Playability With a Smooth Mahogany Neck
The OM-340 features a satin-finished mahogany neck with a comfortable C shape, making it easy to play for extended periods. The rosewood fingerboard is smooth and responsive, with medium frets and a 25.5" scale length that offers excellent playability across the entire neck. The bone nut and dual-action truss rod ensure that the neck remains stable and the guitar stays in tune, no matter how you play. Whether you're practicing at home or performing on stage, the OM-340 offers a playing experience that is both enjoyable and reliable.

Elegant Design With Premium Hardware
The OM-340 is not only about sound and playability; it's also a guitar that looks as good as it sounds. The guitar is equipped with Guild's Vintage 16 open gear tuning machines, which provide reliable tuning stability and smooth adjustments. The rosewood bridge with a compensated bone saddle enhances the guitar's intonation and sustain, ensuring that your music always sounds its best. The nickel Guild Peak headstock logo, black binding, and black tortoise pickguard add a touch of classic elegance to the guitar's overall aesthetic.

Nicely made guitar. The sound is brighter than OM-320. I prefer it to OM-320 for fingerpicking - clean and bright sound while OM-320 sounds muffled. But for strumming OM-320 is better IMO - it provides full and powerful sound while OM-340 sounds thin a little bit. Probably because the denser top (mahogany) needs more power applied to make it shine.

This is my dream acoustic. It's a guild, it's an OM, it has black trim on a natural body, and it has no electronics, just pure unadulterated acoustic. But unfortunately there's some sort of issue going on in either the factory or the warehouse. The first one I ordered had this strange issue where the finish was delaminating from the inlay on the headstock. Best way to describe it is that it looks like a screen protector on a phone that has bubbles under it. You can literally use your fingernail to push around these "bubbles" in the inlay. And no, there's not a film on it I forgot to remove. This is a finish issue. I returned it, ordered a new one, and unfortunately it has the same issue! I'm going to try one last time because I love everything else about this guitar so much, but if I strike out a third time, I'm out and I'll just have to settle for a different model. Super disappointing from Guild!
