The Polara Night Edition from Guild delivers exceptional playability and flexible tone shaping in a sleek, stripped-down solidbody. Designed for guitarists who want great feel and sound without excessive bells and whistles, this Polara features a single uncovered humbucker and simple controls for dialing in your tone. Its comfortable mahogany body with set neck offers familiar, vintage-inspired ergonomics. Lightweight and contoured for playing ease, the Polara Night Edition lets you play your best for hours on end. With over 1,000 possible tones from the humbucker, this Polara empowers you to craft your signature sound.

Striking Blacked-Out Aesthetic

Visually, this Guild electric guitar makes a bold statement. The all-black hardware, pickup covers and controls contrast dramatically against the gloss Tungsten finish. The matching ebony fingerboard adds to the dark, dramatic vibe. Whether on a dimly lit stage or under bright studio lights, the Polara Night Edition's blacked-out look is sure to turn heads.

Sleek, Lightweight Mahogany Body Offers Comfort and Sustain

The contoured mahogany body of the Polara Night Edition feels sleek and lightweight against your body at around 7 lb., making it comfortable for extended playing sessions. Mahogany's natural resonance enhances sustain, allowing your notes to sing with depth and expression. Strategic body contouring provides an ergonomic fit. With its gloss finish and classy Guild logo, the Polara has eye-catching style to match its tonal pleasures.

Smooth and Fast Ebony Fingerboard

The Polara Night Edition has an ebony fingerboard known for its rigidity and brightness. Jumbo frets provide a smooth feel with low friction, making string bending a breeze. The modest 24.75" scale length enhances playability for chording and soloing. Upper-fret access is excellent thanks to the deep cutaway. The fingerboard's uncomplicated dot inlays match the Polara's straightforward aesthetic. Overall, it offers a fast, slick playing experience.

Dial In Your Tone With the Uncovered Humbucker

At the heart of the Polara Night Edition is its uncovered humbucker pickup, based on Guild's acclaimed HB-1 design. The hot-wound coils deliver a focused, articulate tone with loads of character and attitude. With the power of Alnico V magnets, you get increased dynamics and responsiveness. The uncovered housing puts the black pole pieces on display for cool, minimalist esthetics. Volume and tone knobs provide intuitive shaping of your sound. Roll back the volume for cleaner tones or crank it for high-gain distortion. With over 1,000 possible tone combinations from the pickup's coil tapping and splitting, you can craft anything from glassy cleans to raunchy leads.

All-Black Hardware for Striking Looks

This Polara Night Edition is decked out with blacked-out appointments for bold, eye-catching style. The open-gear tuners, Guild tune-o-matic bridge, volume and tone knobs and metal "Peak" headstock logo all flaunt a murdered-out look. Combined with the sleek Tungsten gloss finish on the body, this Polara makes a statement. The dark metal components contrast handsomely with the ebony fingerboard and uncovered humbucker. On stage or in the studio, the Polara Night Edition's menacing appearance will inspire your playing.

I am blown away with the build quality of this GUILD Polara Night Edition. Right out of the box it was ready to play and had to make no adjustments to the neck or nut. Just tuned it up and it was ready to play. The single one volume and humbucker sounds great for metal, but is clean enough to play other styles of music (rock, blues, etc.). It's a sharp looking axe with an awesome build quality. I highly recommend it if you are an SG lover for sure.
