No solos or stuff like that. I call them campfire versions. Every Beatles song, wow. Can't go wrong there. Grab your acoustic guitar and this book and just have a blast.

  • Get the right book. It is also by Leonard.

The complete chord songbook from Hal Leonard has the correct chords. The "Easy" book is not even close to the way they wrote and played their songs. It is a waste of money. Also these books are impossible to hold open. For around $10.00 Office Max can "re-bind" the book in a large spiral binding. Easy to flip open. Do not cheat your self of the genius of the amazing chord combinations. These guys were self taught, could not read or write music. Their ability to write and arrange music with such detail makes learning to play correctly so much fun. You do not need expensive gear to play. Look at the guitars they used. All were modest even by todays standards. Lennon's last guitars he played live were a telecaster and a modified Les Paul Junior.

  • No better book to start strumming

Hey, you know the words, why not learn the chords? This is the perfect place for a beginning guitarist to start. There are plenty of familiar songs you can use to practice open chord progressions. And who doesn't want to learn Rocky Racoon? Be forewarned--some of the songs are transposed to different keys to make them "easy," as the book's title implies. But don't worry too much--with most of the arrangements, you can play right along with the recorded version. This is a great way to learn some songs right off the bat. Every aspiring guitar should own Beatles Complete for Easy Guitar.
