To me the greatest thing about this book is that if you want to read music notation and be able to play it, you can learn it with this book. It goes at a very good pace, teaching you the notes of the staff and where they correlate on the fingerboard. By the time you've finished this book, you should know every note on the fingerboard. I believe this is good knowledge to have for anyone wanting to play the guitar, to not only be able to play it, but to understand it. This book is priceless.

This is a well-written, easily understandable, supremely well done book. It works equally for self-teaching and for use with an instructor.
