It does not lay flat on a table, so it rocks back and forth. It is bigger than I expected. It is simply the top of a regular stand. I wish you could adjust the angle more; it's a little too upright for table use. I will use this for home studio work and playing music in classes. It's so upright that I've had to raise my video camera. If this was designed from the ground up, it could be lighter, more compact and more functional.

I wanted a table top stand so I can sit on the sofa and practice - this does the job at a price well under $10.

I'm an adult returning to music lessons. Thought this table stand would be handy. I found it flimsy and unstable. It kept falling over when holding just one piece of paper with music on it. The edges are rough and was snagging my table cloth. It's very upright and doesn't lean back like the floor stand ones do -so-my music kept falling forward forcing me to stop playing to pick up my music. Ugh. This item was returned as I found it quite aggravating. No thanks.
