Maybe okay, but I returned mine
I bought this and enjoyed it for listening to music in my basement and doing a bit of jamming with a guitar and mic. Within about two weeks of daily use the mixer went dead. I returned the thing and bought two actively powered Harbinger 8" speakers instead. Why? Because now if one amplifier poops out, I'll still have the other to play through. The m100 and m200 are passive speakers, meaning that the amplifier is in the mixer. No mixer, no sound at all. Single point of failure. Worse, most mixers on the market do not provide power to the speakers. So if you want to use the speakers but replace or upgrade your mixer, you will have to spend like $400 on a large powered mixer or buy a separate amplifier and an unpowered mixer. Either way is expensive and seems overly complicated. I'd say check out the Harbinger Vari speakers. Two 8" speakers still give you Bluetooth and you can use an XLR cable to connect them for stereo sound. No mixer, but if I want one i can get a cheap 6 or 8 channel one for $80. I can still plug my guitars and mics into the back of the speakers. So the only feature I'm missing is the echo from the mixer, but whatever. Now I have active speakers (with the amps inside the speakers), so my gear is flexible, easy to add new elements like a sub or a good mixer, and more robust to failure. Oh also I think they're a bit more powerful and the bass definitely comes through more in the powered speakers. I recommend you think hard about whether you want passive vs active speakers. What will you do if your m100 mixer fails after it's too late to take it back? Or during a gig? What will you have to spend to upgrade or add equipment? Think about it.

I'm not sure about this PA
I used this in public one time. It sounded ok, but developed a loud popping in the left speaker. Fortunately, this was still during the time I could return it. It wasn't the speaker itself, but the PA head itself. While diagnosing the problem I began to smell the familiar smell of burning plastic as something in the PA overheated. I'm getting a refund on it today and noticed the price has dropped $50 since I bought it. So, maybe getting another one isn't the smart thing to do. In fact, I've just convinced myself to avoid this at all costs.

Fantastic piece of hardware for a killer price. Bought this as a gift for Christmas and it is phenomenal. Let's see how it holds up and if so, we're looking at a real winner. Great lows, miss, highs, easy to use, Bluetooth is seamless, and materials are good quality.

We used this for our small church. Used it for approximately 4 months. Came in one say and it was dead. Tried to turn it on and it about exploded it's been a month and Harbinger won't stand behind it. Tried to make us drive over 3 hours to drop it off to have it fixed. After a month they F OK ALLY are working with GC to exchange it. It's going to cost us to upgrade but we hope it will be worth it. The GC tech said...he doesn't keep this in stock cuz he gets one in and he has to give it to someone's who broke. Sounds fishy to me!!!! Get something better.

I'm a semi retired professional musician/commercial recording artist of over 50 yrs. and have played through many systems. This outfit blows me away! Great value. If you're looking for a lot of effects, you'll want a different board, but echo adds all I need for reverb. Plenty of great sounding power. Lots of versatility. My use will be as solo/duo performance, and recording.
Love it

What is the weight of this set? I have a Harbinger mini-mixer/preamp which works wonderfully. Thus, I am considering this for an outdoor stereo set. It doesn't need to have huge sound. As a matter of fact, I will be better for the neighbors if it doesn't. I do, however, enjoy true, dependable sound, especially if it's easy to carry.

Is this product loud enough to use in a room that is 120' x 30' ? I need a PA system for an upcoming wedding. Also, can it been plugged into an amp for the amp to play as well?
It should work for the wedding, but as for the amp it would depend on the amp and how it's set up.submitted5 years ago

Would this PA system be loud enough for a metal band singer to use so that you could hear the vocals over the drumming.

How is this PA with bass guitars?? I've been looking at it and am wondering how this sounds using a bass guitar. Any comments would be appreciated.
Depending on how loud you want, it can be OK. While it's not specifically designed for it you can get some descent lows out it. It's not going to be a very big sound.submitted5 years ago
