Very impressed
I have been wanting a PA for a while. I hit up my local GC before black friday to listen to a number of powered speakers. I was expecting to pick up some 12 or 15 inch powered monitors from Harbinger or Alto. I demo'd a few and I just wasn't impressed. Entry level monitors didn't have great low end or very flexible connectivity. They were also large and heavy, which I knew. I decided I wanted a 10" but the only option was the alto TS310 which no stores stocked. I was leaving, a bit frustrated and I decided to try the M200 set. I was shocked. The output was good, the sound was fuller than the powered monitors, and the mixer has Bluetooth and channel EQ plus graphic EQ. One power supply is great. If you have the speakers spread out its nice to just have to worry about signal cables. Having to deal with 2 power cords for powered monitors and another for a mixer is a real pain. The speakers are nice and light and I love that everything came with carrying cases. I plan to use this for a couple small weddings this spring, and in the meantime I am using them as monitors for my DJ setup in my studio. They're great. The only cons I've come across are that the range on the Bluetooth is very short. Less than 10 feet before you risk dropouts. I also wish the mixer had an extra set of outputs in case you wanted to add a sub or two. I found that I could run a lead off the headphone jack to a sub and it works fine, provided you don't need to use headphones. It's gimmicky but it works, and with the smaller speakers you may find yourself wanting to add a sub for dance party use. The amp runs cool. I ran it 3 hours straight at near clipping levels with no issues in my studio. There is a little hiss with no signal but average, and no worse than any of the active speakers I demo'd. I think this kit offers phenomenal value. Sound quality is very good, especially with a little bit of EQing. I am considering picking up a second one and maybe a couple of subs for a flexible mobile system.

Do Not Buy These Speakers
I got these speakers looking for something simple I could use for my home studio. I also play for an occasional wedding and like the portable function that these speakers advertised. I didn't want to spend that much money on speakers, so when these went on sale over Labor Day I got excited. I purchased the speakers and the process was simple and they came in a good time frame. I was very excited as I unboxed the speakers and set them up in my studio. However, as I started playing the first chords from my keyboard, I heard a rattling noise coming from one of the speakers. I then was able to troubleshoot what speaker the sound was coming from. I found out that one of the speakers had come out of the box with a blown speaker. It had rattling noise whenever I played any note in a low register. I was disappointed but luckily this happened while I could still return the speakers and get my money back. I will give Guitar Center credit as they made the process simple and easy to return the equipment. All in all I was excited and was quickly disappointed with the end result.

It's a good sturdy small pa. Working-man style. Perhaps instead of the mediocre "echo" a pan would've been better.
Would definitely buy again

Our small band needed to upgrade our sound system for small venues and farmers' markets, and the Harbinger M200 really delivered for a great price. Straight out of the box we played an open air market, with 2 mics and 2 acoustic guitars plugged in. The sound and tone were amazing, and the power was even better than expected! We previously were cranking a Fender Passport system all the way up, and now we were at half volume and being asked to turn it down. Can't wait to better dial in our tone with the EQ system.
Fills the bill and then some.

i use this PA system mostly to create music at home, singing and playing my dobro. Straightforward, compact, good sound and plenty of power for my intended use. Did not disappoint.
bluetooth sucks

The bluetooth on this thing is awful. The speakers are decent when they aren't blowing out, but the bluetooth is just awful. It's always cutting out and will go 30 seconds without making a peep. I couldn't imagine using the bluetooth function for anything other than casual listening with how unreliable it is.
Yes this product was much more than expected for the price!

One of my teenage sons Christmas gifts. Hooked up to a Shure 58 microphone. Works perfect for the vocals in a teenage thrash metal band down in the basement

How is the monitor out selected? Is it just a direct line from the stereo/BT in? Can other tracks be added to the bus?
On the Harbinger M200-BT Portable PA System, the Monitor Out is not just a direct line from the Stereo/BT input — it's a mixed output. Here's how it works: Monitor Out Details: The Monitor Out sends a mono mix of all inputs, including: Mic/Line inputs (channels 1–4) Stereo line inputs (channels 5/6 and 7/8) Bluetooth input This means it includes whatever is going to the main mix. The Monitor Out level is post-master volume, so changing the master volume affects what goes out the Monitor Out jack. Use Cases: You can use the Monitor Out to: Feed a second speaker (for more coverage). Send a signal to a recorder. Route to a monitor speaker or in-ear system (though there’s no separate mix control, so it's the same as the FOH mix). So, it's not just the Stereo/BT input — it's the entire summed mono mix from all sources. Could i connect a pair of bluetooth headphones and an ipad to this at the same time? (I know nothing about audio setups, but I want to get into recording myself playing drums along with a track and I want to play that track off of an ipad through bluetooth but also be able to hear the track through headphones and have it play through the speaker so the recording picks up the track as well)
Unfortunately, no. The Bluetooth is an input source only.submitted8 months ago

Can I put a subwoofer together? If yes, how should I do it?
Yes, a subwoofer can be added to the Harbinger M200-BT portable PA system: Connect the M200-BT's stereo out to the subwoofer's inputs using a cable. A cable similar to the Livewire 35mm-TRS-Dual-XLRM- Patch-Cable-2-Meters-1274034477609 can be used.submitted10 months ago

I practice drums with recordings on ITunes I can't get the volume with my Sonos system or Polks surround sound system. Would an inexpensive PA system give me the volume I need to practice with.
I’m sorry, I don’t know. I'm not familiar with your Polk or Sonus systems. What are the specs? How loud are they? I don't know how much you volume you need.submitteda year ago
