Works as Described
I am impressed with Harbinger offering a truly portable, compact Bluetooth battery powerd speaker that's very easy to use. This is not a heavily weighted speaker and yields decent sound for 25 watts: not 800. I paired my speakers with a Yamaha Mixing Console and Alexis compressor to provide more audio options to solve the distorted audio and a DI box to eliminate the white noise. Audio problems solved. The placement of control knobs are located on the back of the speaker are easy to use. As for the microphone, it works best when an audio mixer when compression is used. I wouldn't dare attempt to use this speaker in a large venue/setting. Be realistic and know this speaker was designed for personal usage or to use during a small meeting: not for major performances. If you'd like to have an inexpensive stage monitor that won't break the bank, the speaker can be used but don't expect too much output from it. Again, be realistic. The speaker yields very decent mids but is capable of delivering better audio quality when used with an audio mixer, DI box and compressor. The biggest plus about this speaker is that it is designed to function as a portable batteried powered bluetooth speaker that lasts twelve (12) hours.

Great Sound, Terrible Odor
I was looking for a lightweight battery-powered PA speaker for busking and outdoor use, so I gave the RoadTrip a try. It has only one instrument/mic input, but I figured if I liked the unit I would buy a second one so that I would have one for my vocal and one for my guitar. Unpacking the unit, it seemed solid. I plugged in my acoustic guitar (with added pickup), and dialed in the sound I wanted. I was impressed. It provided decent volume, and sounded warm and natural. The delay echo (used sparingly) added a pleasant spaciousness to the sound. The problem was the unit was out-gassing a terrible, sickly-sweet odor. If it were just from the plastic cabinet, I would have washed it off with a mild detergent. But putting my nose up to the speaker grille, I could tell that the odor was coming from inside the unit. That was a deal-breaker for me, and I returned it to the store. Perhaps in time it would have aired out, but I decided to look for a replacement. It was a shame, really. Good sound for a bargain price, but I just couldn't handle the odor.

I would not buy this again

After recharging the battery, I woke up in the middle of the night to a terrible smell. I thought something had died under the house. The battery got overheated and actually expanded, breaking the cover panel and releasing an obnoxious odor. The unit doesn't shut off when charging is complete and it nearly burned my house down. The thing doesn't deliver much sound either, and plugging an acoustic guitar into it made it sounds like an electric guitar with distortion, and only at 50% volume.
I would definitely not buy this again

I was looking for an inexpensive but versatile speaker for my home that included different inputs. It worked and sounded great for a couple of months until the Bluetooth adapter died. Now it only works with corded inputs. Probably 12 hours total on this thing and the BT is dead.
Pretty good, just felt mic was not sensitive enough

Bought this for a cheap karaoke night with the family. Puts out decent audio, and BT features are nice. Just wish the included microphone was a little more sensitive or the input was applied more, since I had to max it out and still had to have it right against my mouth to have decent output
What a great speaker

I was looking for something to play my phone music in the garage while playing darts. I have 18" subs and other Harbinger and really liked them. I thought give this little guy a try. Not disappointed at all. Heavy bass and crisp highs. Great power …… Rock On !
Great for the price

When it's not being used for practice, or busking, it's in my car being a car stereo via Bluetooth. Very handy.

Can I plug an electric guitar multi-effects (Line 6 Pod) pedal into it?
Yes, you can connect a Line 6 POD multi-effects pedal to the Harbinger RoadTrip 25 speaker. The speaker features a combo XLR/TRS input designed for microphones, but it can also accept line-level signals from devices like your POD. However, since the RoadTrip 25 is primarily a portable PA speaker and not specifically tailored for guitar amplification, the tonal characteristics may differ from those of a dedicated guitar amp. It's advisable to start with lower volume settings and adjust the EQ on both the POD and the speaker to achieve your desired sound.submitted4 months ago

Can it be used with the bluetooth handsfree headset as a mic?
No, a Bluetooth handsfree headset cannot be used as a microphone with the Harbinger RoadTrip 25 speaker. The Harbinger RoadTrip 25 supports Bluetooth for audio playback only—meaning it can receive music or other audio from a phone or Bluetooth device, but it does not transmit audio from a Bluetooth mic or headset. Bluetooth headsets use different Bluetooth profiles (like HFP or HSP) intended for voice communication, while speakers like the RoadTrip 25 typically only support A2DP, which is for high-quality stereo audio playback.submitted6 months ago
