Works so good I bought two. One for 3/4 and one for 1/2 bass.
Slight issue, not with stability

Gave this to a buddy. Holds his contra bass beautifully. Is a little difficult to fold up when finished. The peg doesn't touch the floor and the bass sits in it without any chance of scratching. Highly recommend

This stand was included with the used bass that I bought. I've come to love the stand more than the bass! It folds for easy transportation, and it holds the bass very securely once it's opened. And the bow holder can hold a second bow. Highly recommended.
Great protection for an upright bass

Like every other Hercules item I have tried, this is a very sturdy stand that folds up easily to be flat. You will have to carry it separate from your bass and bow since it is big even when folded up. This stand keeps the bass ready for you to pick up and practice at home without keeping it vulnerable from someone tripping on your endpin. You can keep the endpin extended up to almost nine inches from your bass and leave it on this stand. This should be "cheap insurance" for any performance hall looking to protect an expensive instrument and anyone trying to walk around it on a crowded stage. It also has a pin to hang your bow on; nice!
A very nice stand

This stand is very stable and works well to support my children's 3/4 size upright bass. It folds easily when not in use. Also, it does not take up too much room or require that it be place far from the wall. Sometimes with stands (especially for bass), the angle at which the instrument rests on the stand requires that the base of the stand be placed far from the wall or corner, etc. I did not find this to be the case (at least for my kid's bass and the room available in our house). The one thing that could be improved is the hook on the back to hold the bow. It was not designed well and therefore does not hold the bow securely. That's the only drawback to an otherwise great stand for the price.
