About Hohner:
Hohner is a family company founded in 1857 in Trossingen, Germany by Matthias Hohner. Hand-made quality and close attention to detail has set Hohner apart from the beginning. A top leading brand in harmonicas, Hohner harps are distributed worldwide. Hohner harmonicas are played on the street by buskers, in intimate nightclubs, on festival stages, and even in Carnegie Hall. Despite a diverse harmonica line used in music from country to classical genres, the most famous Hohner harmonicas are their simple, 10-hole diatonics used frequently by blues, rock, country, and folk musicians.

Great

I recently purchased these harmonicas for my first set. I am amazed with the sound of these and so far they are very durable....they come with a grey case, lol and if you want red I suggest buying a red case, but it's just a case. The only one flaw is that the writing on the harp to tell what key it's in wares off easily and the key names for keys c and g wore off in the first two days. other than that these are great harps.

I WISH HARMONICAS WERE RETURNABLE!

Yes, I am a beginner to harping, but have a minor in music and play several instruments.I an an intermediate level blues lead guitarist and wanted to expand my repertoire with the blues harp. I took a short class that came with a cheap, Chinese made C harp (Mojo Deluxe) and a small book. I bought this Hohner set so I could play in other keys. I trusted the Hohner name, but I am disappointed. The Mojo harp plays easier that the C harp in this kit, has more volume, and a richer tone. I learned to bend a couple of notes on the Mojo but couldn't do it on this one. After about an hour of playing, the white "C" on the harp was rubbed away and you can't tell what key it's in. So I experimented... I ordered a Fender Blues Deluxe ($9.95), also in C. There is absolutely no comparison between this Fender harp and these Hohners... it blows them away (pun intended), and the Mojo harp as well. Much greater tone, playability, and finish. Yes, it cost a little more, but very little--about $4 per harp. I am going back to GC tomorrow to order a set of these Fenders. I'll have an extraFender C harp, so I'll just throw that in my car. NOTE: I don't blame GC for the lack of quality. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I think people do not know how to prime their harp reeds, so yeah, they end up blowing the reeds and ruin the instrument. I grew up with Hohner. Best blues harps around! They just need some extra care, especially at the beginning of playing them!! I am soooo looking forward to getting them!

These harmonicas are smaller than an old Hofner MarineBand I have, but they all sound good.

GC shouldn't even carry garbage like this. They aren't really even good enough to be toys. Ain't good for nothing but turning you against harps, and maybe music. You will feel robbed no matter the amount spent. If they were 10 cents you'd wish you had your money back. Get a Marine Band or Special 20 instead, for real! Wait; one nice thing to say... this deal does come with a pretty rad case. You will fill it with different harmonicas though ...If you aren't so discouraged that you give up.

These are great beginner harmonicas! I bought them for my husband and he really likes them! He did have a problem with the Bb harp. I called Musician Friend & without hesitation, they are sending him a new one (a different brand....Fender)!!! GREAT customer service!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
