An excellent hollow body acoustic electric bass!

I bought this bass back in 2015. It is all black and has the gold colored pick-ups. It has a nice, warm, mellow sound unplugged, plug it into an amp and get some good thump in the sound. This is a short scale bass, sounds really good with blues, folk and 60s rock songs. I recommend using the Honeytone 10W portable electric guitar amp and/or the Blackstar Fly 3W portable bass amp and changing the strings to a phosphor bronze type of strings. The sound can be varied using the 3 way switch. I love the vintage style, shape and colors!
Outstanding!

Love the classic look! (white=cream though). Love the classic sound. Though not an acoustic, I play unplugged to practice and still get the sound I expect. Plugged in it is nice and thumpy making it perfect for jazz, blues, and classic early 60s sound rock. Only thing I did different with take home version was put on flatround strings (long scale).
Impressive bass!!

I've never owned a semi-hollow or a short-scale bass in my 30+ years of playing, but I'm thrilled with this Ibanez Artcore AFB200 bass. Plays great (action is low with no fret buzz), sounds great (has a classic, smooth tone), and it looks beautiful. It's a little more of a "cream" color and less white, but it's not that big of a deal. I've already had several compliments on the way this bass looks and sounds. Can't wait to start gigging with it!!

Is the pick guard removable without leaving visible holes in the bass front.
It's going to leave at least one.
