collapse expand iconDescription

The Artcore AS93BC from Ibanez is a semi-hollow electric guitar built to handle everything from jazz to funk to rock. Its Super 58 pickups, loved by jazz greats like George Benson and Pat Metheny, deliver warmth, articulation and excellent response. With the AS Artcore, you get versatility across genres.

Play With Articulate Tone and Sustain With Super 58 Pickups

The AS Artcore comes equipped with Super 58 pickups, known for their balanced vintage tone. You'll appreciate their moderate output and how well they perform in diverse musical situations. From smooth jazz chords to funky rhythms, the Super 58 pickups respond with warmth and clarity. Their excellent sustain and feedback control make the AS Artcore a reliable guitar for gigs and studio work.

Resonate Richly With a Maple and Nyatoh Neck

The AS Artcore's neck contains a special three-piece maple and nyatoh construction that provides great resonance and a rich mid-low end. You'll feel the difference in the way it resonates against your body as you play. The smooth neck profile coupled with the resonant woods makes playing up and down the fingerboard a comfortable and inspiring experience.

Play Tightly and Quickly on a Macassar Ebony Fingerboard

You'll appreciate how the Macassar ebony fingerboard on the AS Artcore produces tight lows and mids with strong high-end attack. It gives you fast fretting response, helping you play rapid solos cleanly and accurately. The ebony also provides rich sustain, letting your notes ring out with fullness.

Enhance Your Accuracy With Medium Frets

The medium-jumbo frets on the AS Artcore give you enhanced playing accuracy compared to narrow frets. You can fret notes with precision thanks to the taller fret height. This lets you play chords cleanly and articulate riffs and solos with ease. Even demanding lead passages sound crisp and articulate.

Craft Your Tone With a Linden Top and Bocote Back

With its beautiful linden top and bocote back and sides, the Artcore shapes your tone for versatility. The linden provides a natural, accurate and balanced sound. Meanwhile, the exotic bocote imbues a powerful, warm punch. Together, they give you a rich voice to craft your sound, from round jazz tones to growling rock.

Got mine with the help of Isaiah at Orange Park GC. Played out with it and so many commented pn the rich, warm tones. One of the best for the buck guitars in my collection ❤️

I went in to look at some electric guitars and some other hollow bodies like the grestch's until I saw this in person and it immediately drew my eye, the glossy black front with the pearl inlays on the fret board and the gorgeous wood grain on the back, very classy looking, and very versatile tones for different genres. I can't help but look at it and think "Johnny cash would've probably liked this"

  • Love it!

This guitar is much better than many 335 style guitars 4X the price, the neck profile is super comfortable vintage style, not too wide and flat like modern guitars. the super 58 pickups actually sound awesome, and the woods on the back are beautiful. I normally do not like Ibanez's normal shred style guitars but I find their jazz semi hollow guitars and basses are incredibly overlooked, especially for the price.

  • It has the sound and looks Ilove.

The most suitable hard shell case is the Ibanez AS100C Artcore Hardshell Case for AS Series Guitars.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.0 – 9.0 lbs
