collapse expand iconDescription

The BTB866SC bass from Ibanez is built with select-grade materials, neck-thru construction and top quality components, all meticulously combined into a stunning pro-level instrument. An ash top imbues this bass with an exotic appearance and an ash/okoume body provides superior attack, bright and solid sound with rich sustain. A 5-piece maple/walnut neck deliver tonal clarity and graphite reinforcement rods offer excellent stability. A rosewood fretboard provides a well-balanced, long-lasting tone and features stainless steel frets. Equipped with Bartolini BH2 pickups, this 6-string bass delivers a tight bottom-end, punchy mid-range and smooth response with a dual-coil style configuration that maximizes articulation. A long blade pole piece widens the magnetic field, providing balanced string-to-string pickup response. Additional features include an MR5 bridge, 3-band EQ and a detachable finger ramp for comfortable fingerpicking.

I bought the bass and realized it has a ding mark here and there. I am unfortunately unhappy with the fact that it looks like I may have gotten a used copy, which furthered my suspicion when I noticed the strings came rather worn. For 1200, I'd expect more.
