The ergonomically contoured body shape enables a consistent playing position whether you're sitting or standing. The chambered mahogany body further reduces weight while enhancing resonance. The EHB1500's slick panga panga fingerboard invites fast playing across its smooth surface, while the 24 medium stainless steel frets provide excellent intonation and lasting durability.

These basses looked horrible to me, but I tried one and loved it and this bass here (ehb1500) blew me away. The ergonomics of this bass are out of this world, better than any other bass I've ever played. I thought that the headless design would be awkward, but was pleasantly surprised to find the opposite, it actually somehow makes playing more comfortable because you're not subconsciously fighting the weight of the headstock. The Pickups on this model are absolutely brilliant! Them + the wood combinations create a sonic experience and a beautiful tone that cannot be beat by anything else in the range, and they soar far and above many that cost much more. The weight and design makes it feel like and extension of you. I have never felt a bass that was so simple and easy to play-- harmonics are glorious and easy to sound, no matter the situation, the whole thing just SINGS! now, the downsides: sure, the knobs are kind of cheap, but they're effective and look good, and a new set is like $35 and you can put it on yourself. There are a lot of complaints about the locking jack, its really not a big deal, you just need to push it in the right spot, but sometimes it seems harder to do than it should be. The EQ Is good, definitely one of Ibanez's better ones and there are no real downsides to it, other than that if I had the option, I'd happily pay the premium for a matching nordstrand preamp for this bass, it would open it up some and make it punch well above its weight class and into the boutique bass range. I'll probably put one it at some point, if I ever get tired of it. All in all, you cannot go wrong with this, it WILL make you happy and feel like a better player than you really are
Good bass in this price range, especially at preowned price.

Pleasantly surprised each time I play this bass. My only disappointment is in the quality of construction. For the price point which I consider middle of the road I think it's a good bass. Also, I'm not a fan of the locking Mechanism where you plug in the guitar cord.
