The distinctive Ibanez RG330 electric guitar from the GIO series—also known as the GRG330—delivers the quality and performance the iconic RG line is known for, with budget-conscious players in mind. The RG body style is recognizable to generations of metal guitarists with its sleek double-cutaway design. Featuring a beautiful combination of tonewoods, electronics and Ibanez's Double Locking tremolo system that stays in tune through aggressive playing, the RG330 gives you the precision feel discerning players demand.

Ibanez GIO RG330 Electric Guitar Poplar Body

Rock Out With a Well-Balanced Poplar Body

The GIO RG330 has a poplar body that provides incredible thickness and a well-balanced tone across the tonal spectrum, letting your riffs ring out with authority. Poplar's natural resonance brings out the organic wood character that works so well for hard rock and metal styles. You'll feel the full-bodied tone resonating through the contoured, beveled RG body every time you plug in.

Ibanez GIO RG330 Electric Guitar Maple Neck

Maple Neck and Purpleheart Fingerboard

In addition to combining for a striking aesthetic, the maple neck and purpleheart fingerboard on the GRG330 contribute to its impressive tone and stability. Maple provides a tight low end as well as articulation and note separation to cut through the mix. The purpleheart fingerboard looks absolutely stunning with exotic visual appeal, while also adding midrange punch. Together, they create a bright yet well-balanced tone. The smooth neck feels fast and comfortable for quick runs up and down the 22 medium-jumbo frets.

Ibanez GIO RG330 Electric Guitar Infinity R Pickups

Infinity R Pickups

Ibanez Infinity R humbucking pickups provide excellent dynamics as well as tight lows and singing highs. They deliver accurate tones across the spectrum, able to handle heavy gain without getting muddy. The bridge pickup provides plenty of bite for aggressive rhythms and searing leads, while the neck pickup has a smooth voice for melodies. Blend them together for the classic humbucker roar. A rugged mono-unit output jack ensures a solid connection for your cable gig after gig.

Ibanez GIO RG330 Electric Guitar Double Locking Tremolo

Double Locking Tremolo

The RG330 comes equipped with a Double Locking tremolo system. Developed by Ibanez, this industry-leading trem utilizes a two-point mounting design and double-locking mechanism to provide incredible tuning stability, even if you employ aggressive whammy techniques on stage. Bend, dip and dive while always returning to pitch.

For guitarists who want the prestige of the iconic Ibanez RG paired with fast playability, tight lows, singing highs and good looks, the GIO RG330 delivers impressive value. Stop by your local Guitar Center and reach for an Ibanez RG330 today to get studio- and stage-worthy tone.

The Ibanez GIO Series RG330 (also known as the GRGR330EX) is equipped with Ibanez Infinity R humbucking pickups in both the neck and bridge positions. These passive ceramic pickups are designed to deliver tight lows and singing highs, providing excellent dynamics and tonal clarity even under high-gain settings . While the Infinity R pickups are suitable for a range of genres, including hard rock and metal, achieving the specific tones associated with bands like Pantera and Slayer—known for their aggressive, high-output sound—may require additional gear. Both Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) and Kerry King (Slayer) utilized pickups with higher output levels, such as active EMG pickups, to achieve their signature tones. If you're seeking a closer match to Pantera or Slayer tones, upgrading to higher-output pickups—such as the Seymour Duncan SH-6 Distortion, EMG 81/85 set, or Fishman Fluence Modern—can provide the increased output and tonal characteristics associated with these bands.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.5 – 8.0 lbs --------- a : Width 43mm at NUT b : Width 58mm at 24F c : Thickness 19.5mm at 1F d : Thickness 21.5mm at 12F Radius : 400mmR
