Ibanez

collapse expand iconDescription

The Ibanez GRG120BDXL left-handed electric guitar provides left-handed players an affordable high-performance instrument for developing guitar skills. Featuring a fast maple neck, powerful humbucking pickups and a FAT-6 tremolo bridge, the GRG120BDXL inspires lefties to reach new heights in their playing. Giving left-handed musicians access to Ibanez quality at a rock-bottom price.

Fast Neck and Treated Fingerboard Enable Fluid Playing

The GRG120BDXL's treated New Zealand pine fingerboard allows left-handed players to navigate the frets with ease. Shark tooth inlays help orient the left hand, while the neck's smooth finish minimizes friction. A slender 48 mm nut width suits players with smaller hands. The neck's shape and radius encourage rapid runs, bends and position shifts across the fingerboard.

Humbucking Pickups Produce Powerful, Distorted Tones

Designed by Ibanez, the GRG120BDXL's humbucking pickups provide plenty of output for overdriving an amp. The bridge pickup yields a bright, cutting tone suited to solos and lead lines. The neck pickup produces a warmer, fuller tone ideal for rhythm playing. A 3-way selector switch lets players choose pickups individually or combine them for a range of tones from clean to heavily distorted.

FAT-6 Tremolo Bridge Inspires Creative Playing

The GRG120BDXL comes equipped with an upgraded FAT-6 tremolo bridge that allows lefties to bend notes and apply subtle pitch effects. Players can raise or lower pitch using the tremolo arm for warbling, dive bombing effects. The FAT-6 bridge's solid construction keeps the guitar in tune even under heavy use of the tremolo arm.

Sleek Black Finish and Comfortable Body

With its arched top, beveled body edge and double cutaway, the GRG120BDXL's basswood body provides left-handed players a high level of comfort and access to the upper frets. The guitar's sleek black finish gives it a professional, high-performance appearance. Chrome hardware including tuners, bridge and control knobs offer an attractive contrast with the black finish.

Excellent guitar for the price!

This guitar is easy to use and it's easy to learn on. I'm really shocked at how light it is! The fret board is easy to see and the bar is lose and hangs down so you don't have it in your way while you strum. Excellent all the way around and it looks really cool sitting next to my Ibanez GIO bass! I'd recommend putting on a little heavier string right out of the gate.

Poor buying experience

Bought online since i live 90min from a Guitar Center. Arrived late with missing tremolo bar. Was packaged poorly and loose in the box. Called GC and was shipped a right handed bar. Called again and was finally shipped the the left hand bar. Started playing and noticed a dead fret e7, was told i could take it to an authorized service center close to my home and that it shouldn't cost me to much to repair(um no). I made the trip to Cedar Rapids and a very helpful staff informed me that the neck was clearly warped beyond repair and they luckily had 1 new undamaged guitar in Stock. Will not buy one online again.

I bought the guitar and I'm a lefty which is rough. Finding a decent guitar is horrible for us lefty's. This guitar is amazing quality, comes with a whammy, and the strings feel like heaven. Trust me, I received my guitar and I'm satisfied.

I'm brand new to the guitar and will be taking lessons at Guitar Center this year. I loved this guitar the moment I saw it. The detail and style put into it is remarkable! The sound with the amp is amazing as well. I can see myself getting into guitar and seeing where it takes me in life.

Bought another Ibanez and they both sound flat with no good tones. Hopefully one day the GIOs will get better pick ups. I will definitely be putting Dimebukers in them both. Come on Ibanez get better pick ups and quit being cheap. Overall it looks good. I will definitely be upgrading all the hardware and electronics in both.

the guitar itself is fine. obviously its not the greatest but it works for me. it did not come with the tremolo bridge. also was a bad buying experience. i really wish it was easier to buy left handed guitars without having any problems.

You could play Jazz with it, but the pickups are designed for higher output which may cause it to have distortion or be overpowering.
