The Ibanez GRGR221PA GRG Series 6-String Electric Guitar offers outstanding performance at an affordable price. The guitar features a sleek okoume body with an eye-catching poplar burl top. Under the hood, two ceramic-magnet IBZ-6 humbucker pickups supply a range of tones from sparkling cleans to high-gain distortion. A 5-way pickup selector makes it easy to dial in your perfect sound. The fast maple neck and bound purpleheart fingerboard allow for fluid shredding and intricate solos. Anchored by a rock-solid hardtail bridge, the GRG stays in tune through the most intense practice sessions and live shows.

IBZ-6 Pickups Provide a Spectrum of Modern Tones

The GRG is equipped with two powerful IBZ-6 humbucker pickups that generate rich, articulate tones without muddiness. From punchy rhythm sounds to searing lead tones, the IBZ-6 pickups have you covered. The 5-way pickup selector allows quick switching between pickups for a wide range of sonic options.

Fast Neck and Fingerboard Enable Lightning-Fast Playing

The GRG's maple neck and bound purpleheart fingerboard are built for speed. With a super-flat 15.75" radius and jumbo frets, the neck plays fast and feels comfortable. Shred excursions and fretboard acrobatics are a breeze thanks to the slick feel and low action.

Hardtail Bridge Provides Rock-Solid Tuning Stability

The GRG features a hardtail bridge that anchors the strings to provide exceptional tuning stability. Without a vibrato system, the hardtail bridge eliminates tuning issues that can arise from heavy whammy bar use. You'll stay in tune through the most punishing riffs.

Lightweight and Resonant Okoume Body

The GRG has an okoume body that produces a resonant, balanced tone with plenty of natural sustain. Okoume is a popular, lightweight alternative to mahogany that reduces fatigue during long practice sessions and gigs.

This is my metal playing rig, cheap, shreddy, passive pickups but lots of em, looks great (reminds me of looking through the shallow ocean water). For upgrades I am looking at trying Hipshot for tuners/bridge stuff however it's completely playable out of the box. Not heavy. Good ergonomics.

Extremely impressed by this low (price point) model. First of all, the pickups are very nice, the tone they produce is very much what you should except from most high-end Ibanez guitars. Great sustain and resonance. With a sound that's honestly more natural clean than dirty. The pickups are set quite closely together. If you are used to Gibson or Epiphone guitars, it could feel a little foreign. The action out of the box is VERY impressive. Slight fret buzz on the low E and A; however nothing that will be picked up when amplified. Honestly if you are between the extra 30-80$ from an Epiphone or Yamaha budget guitar. Do yourself a favor and get this. This is more than a pretty face.

This Guitar is Incredible for the price I've paid more and not been as excited about a guitar First off it's Absolutely Gorgeous the color is beautiful it has 24 frets that are easy to access. 5 position switch gives you the tones your looking for. The pickups are killer they have the bite you need and the beautiful clean tone too. Right out of the box I didn't need to really do much .. it holds it's tune though the tuners aren't the best but they work it's got a reverse headstock that surprised me I'm not used to that but it works .. And Shark tooth inlays on the frets . It feels good might lower the action a little but it's nice also has nice sustain . But it before the price goes up
