Let me "string" together some thoughts about this absolutely stunning guitar! I'm "amped" up just thinking about it! This Ibanez S Series S670QM is so beautiful with its Dragon Eye Burst finish, it should be illegal to look this good! The quilted maple top has more waves than my hair did in the 80s, and trust me, that's saying something! Every time I take it out of its case, my wife rolls her eyes and says, "Are you two going to need some alone time?" And honestly, yes, yes we are! The neck is faster than my teenager disappearing when I mention yard work. I can "fret" less about difficult solos because this guitar practically plays itself! My fingers slide across it smoother than my attempt at flirting with my wife after 20 years of marriage. That Dragon Eye Burst finish isn't just eye-catching—it's eye-DRAGON! Get it? When I first unboxed it, I stared at it so long my wife asked if I was having a medical episode. The quilted maple top has more character than my extensive collection of "World's Best Dad" mugs (all purchased by me, of course). The sound quality is clearer than my excuses for buying yet another guitar. The pickups deliver tones so sweet, my dog thinks I'm hiding treats in the amplifier! I can go from gentle jazz to face-melting metal faster than I can come up with a dad joke at the dinner table (and that's FAST). The body is so slim and lightweight, it makes me wish I could say the same about myself after the holidays! It's more comfortable than the recliner I'm not allowed to sit in when guests come over. Bottom line: If you're on the fence about this guitar, it's time to "pick" a side! The Ibanez S670QM has really helped me "scale" new heights in my playing. It's the perfect "axe" to grind out some tunes! P.S. My neighbors say this guitar sounds amazing - at least that's what I think they're saying when they bang on my walls at 11pm!

Experiment with different strap lengths due to the unconventional body contours. Guitar likes to rest against the top of my right thigh, making me reach farther with my fretting hand for the highest frets. Pickups sound too thin. Sounds great unplugged; might need noiseless springs.

  • Sleek and sexy with fussy tremolo

Playing this might feel odd at first. After a few weeks, I'm still trying to figure out the most comfortable playing position (long or short strap). FWIW, the tremolo arm should be parallel to the strings (Ibanez manual), so ignore the slope of the bridge itself. Good value!

  • My first Floyd Rose type tremolo guitar and it's awesome!

This is the kind of guitar that's made for shredding and it didn't disappoint! Stays in tune very well and had the tone and playability you would expect in an Ibanez. I'm a happy customer!

Absolutely beautiful guitar. I am still learning, and this guitar has far more ability than I do right now. Tuning with the floating bridge is interesting, but my instructor showed me how to get it set, and it has stayed in tune. Looking forward to getting to the point where I can really start playing it!
