With tone, drive and level controls, guitarists can dial in the perfect amount of breakup and gain.
Authentic Tube Screamer Circuitry Provides Legendary Tone
This reissue features the same circuitry that gave the original Tube Screamer its coveted tone, recreating the smooth, natural overdrive and sustain that shaped the sound of rock music. With tone, drive and level controls, guitarists can dial in the perfect amount of breakup and gain. The TS9 Tube Screamer delivers the iconic tone that defined the sound of rock.
Iconic Seasick-Green Stompbox Is Nostalgic and Gig-Ready
Encased in the same iconic green stompbox, the TS9 Tube Screamer delivers nostalgic style and the familiar controls that generations of guitarists have relied on. Built to withstand the rigors of the road, the TS9 Tube Screamer is a gig-ready stompbox that delivers consistent performance gig after gig. With a 9V battery or external power supply, the TS9 Tube Screamer is ready to deliver its distinctive overdrive at a moment's notice.
Tone, Drive and Level Controls Provide Flexibility
With tone, drive and level controls, you have the flexibility to shape their tone. The tone control allows you to darken or brighten the overdrive tone. The drive control increases the amount of overdrive, allowing you to boost your amp into overdrive or add more grit. The level control adjusts the output volume. You can use the controls to achieve a signature sound or match the pedal to different amps and guitars.
Use Alone or Stack for Custom Tone
The TS9 Tube Screamer is an essential tool for shaping tone. You can use the TS9 Tube Screamer on its own or stack it with other pedals to achieve a custom sound. Whether used as a boost to push an amp into overdrive or to add sustain and grit, the TS9 Tube Screamer provides flexibility and a toolbox of tone.

Very good pedal for a great price
This pedal is one of the best overdrives you can get for under $100. Not only does it get the best blues tone out there, but it also works great as a boost and it is versitile enough for all types of music. Through my Fender tube amp, this pedal can make my Stratocaster sustain for days. The pedal is so easy to use and it is simple to find the sound that you want without having to mess with the knobs for a long time. The knobs are recessed too, so they don't get bumped around easily. This overdrive does everything I would want it to do, and it has not let me down yet. I strongly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a great sounding overdrive without spending a lot of cash

Disappointing OD pedal
The Tube Screamer is legendary, its the most used OD pedal in the world according to Wikipedia, and is used by tons of professional guitarists like Kirk Hammett and Steve Vai. Despite all that, I really dont see how its so great. It has a distinctive mid-heavy tone that works well for specific stuff, but it just doesnt work for what I was wanting it for. The 3 knobs are pretty limited, there is OD level, tone and volume and thats it. Even with the overdrive cranked up to max, it still failed to reach metal levels of distortion by a wide margin. Its possible Im somehow using it wrong, but I just dont like the sound it gives, very disappointing, highly recommend trying it out BEFORE purchasing, something I failed to do.

Years ago I bought this TS9, then traded it for a super overdrive, then traded that for a Blues Driver and after a while I decided that the TS9 was the one I liked best and repurchased it again. I use the Super Overdrive for a backup. The sound of the TS9 is best. The guys in the band tell me that too. Built solid. Gets kick around a lot on a stage. Simple operation 3 knobs, Drive, Tone and Level. This is my go to distortion pedal. You won't be disappointed.
You get what you expect!

This pedal is absolutely amazing. It has a really versatile sound, it sounds good on both guitar and bass, its knobs are easy to move, but difficult to shift while using it, which makes it good for performances and transportation, as well as being a lot easier to remember the setting if it does get shifted at all. I would 100% recommend this to anyone, especially if you want to chase the 80s thrash metal guitar sound or get Cliff Burton's bass tone. Definitely one of my favorites on my pedalboard.
