I very much like the Islander line of ukuleles and was eager to acquire the SAT-4. Sadly, the two units that I received were badly dehydrated. Both of the units showed a manufacture date of February 2022 so they were in transit and storage for more than three years by the time they reached me in June 2025. The soundboard between the bridge and the soundhole of the FIRST unit had sunk 3mm below the edges (with the strings slacked) and was kinked to one side. The bridge had lifted and it was easy to slip a sheet of paper ~5mm under the bottom edges. The SECOND replacement unit was a little better but the soundboard had still sunk by 2mm and one of the sides had a gap between it and the bottom center-strip binding. I ended up returning both units. Thankfully, a Guitar Center brick-and-mortar store is only five minutes away from my home. The return process was quick. It's unfortunate that these units had dried out so badly. They still had that identifiable "sweet" sound that is associated with Acacia. My rating reflects the condition and tonal quality of the instruments that I received. I have friends with older SAT-4 units which are in excellent condition so I can only assume that the units that I received were either not stored properly or might have been from a bad batch.
