works great
The walls in the room where I put these is 3/4" tongue and groove board, so the installation was easy, pre-drilled the wood and the screws went in nice and tight. Although I read some comments saying the adjustable yoke didnt line up with the logo when tightened down to the base, I think it works well. It just isnt clear on the instructions how to do this, and that might be the problem. Theres a nut on the end of the threaded yoke that goes into the base. The rubber almost hides it. I recommend hand tightening it as far as it will go (towards the spongy rubber, away from the end) and then thread the yoke into the base as far as it will go. If it doesnt 'bottom out' to the position you want, then turn it back to where you want it, and use a wrench to tighten the nut down on the base. I used a 12mm wrench. Naturally with a Gibson guitar, I want the yoke to be horizontal for the headstock. But for a Fender guitar, I angle the yoke to about 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock--this position works great for offset headstocks. Once you 'adjust' the yoke position and tighten the nut down to the base, the yoke stays in place. I did have one yoke where the nut did not move freely, but all the others were fine. I cant say how well these would do on drywall, but I would probably want to have one screw in a stud or use a screw type anchor instead of the ones provided--maybe a plastic or metal EZ anchor in the top two holes. That said, these are simple, stable guitar hangers. Grab half a dozen when they go on sale.

You get what you pay for..
So i received this, and a new set of guitar strings in the same box, i decided i would throw this up on the wall before i re-strung my guitar. I opened the package to find the front of the mount scratched to hell, almost like it was used before. I found that most of the pieces(screws/drywall anchors ect.) were separate in the package. There was a nut screwed onto the mount its self. I couldn't get it apart from the mount with my fingers. Taking a closer look at the nut, it looked like someone used the incorrect size wrench to tighten it, and it was completely striped, almost rounded. So there was no getting this nut off. The metal parts that had been scratched had rust build up as well. The threads on the circular wall mount, and the actual guitar mount were coated in rust. Its just been a hassle. I managed to find another nut out in my shop that fits and now there is a nut on both sides of the mount. I managed to get the mount up on the wall. I got two screws in when i realized the last screw was completely deformed and my bit would probably destroy it. So i went ahead and got it in, but only 3 quarters of the way in before it finally gave out and stripped completely so looks like I'm stuck with it. I mounted it on my window to avoid using the drywall anchors, so luckily my black out shades block the screw that is partially sticking out. It is mounted, and it is working. the only problem I'm having is the fact that it is ugly as hell, and every time i take my guitar off of this rack, the mount spins. and i have to spin it back around before putting my guitar back on it. I am very trusting though, hopefully i don't come home to a broken guitar. My bran-new financed gaming rig is also sitting directly underneath it...when i get home ill try and take it off the wall for pictures, but there is a small chance that will be possible. I would recommend anyone buying a wall mount, go ahead and find one for a little extra $$ and find something that is all 1 piece.

Solid, sturdy and protective. My only complaint, minor, is that the holes are spaced too far apart to catch a stud with all three screws. Holds my Tele, LP, Casino, Fender Bass and J200 all securely. Bought a three pack and promptly ordered another three!
Perfect for my intended use but is far better than that!

This was simply meant to display my very first acoustic guitar in my studio, a little parlor guitar that I acquired in 1964 when I wanted to be a Beatle! This is perfect for that use but is stable and sturdy and I could display or mount any of my modern guitars or basses without concern.
I would purchase this product again.

Choosing this wall hanger(s) for my two 4-string electric basses was a wise decision. As a beginner taking lessons online in my bedroom, it dawned on me stepping over basses--usually with a cup of hot coffee in my hand, placing in chairs, laying flat on my bed, wasn't the picture of efficiency and productivity. These hangers were easy putting together, placing on my bedroom wall, and have worked out as I had hoped and expected.
works very well and easy to use
